Founder, Professional Development Lead

Kate is an experienced dance educator, choreographer and arts manager with a passion for strengthening dance education across the North. As Head of Dance at a secondary school in South Manchester, Kate has championed high standards in GCSE Dance, with a proven track record of student success and curriculum innovation.

Alongside her school-based work, Kate manages Stagecoach Performing Arts schools, coordinating high-quality training in dance, singing and drama for young people aged 4–18.

Kate founded the Greater Manchester Dance Collective to connect school-based dance teachers—especially those working as the sole specialist in their setting. Her mission is to foster a supportive, collaborative network that promotes best practice, enriches CPD opportunities, and champions the value of dance in young people’s lives.

Becci is a dedicated dance teacher whose work is driven by a strong belief in the importance of positive student experience and meaningful enrichment within dance education. With many years of experience teaching GCSE Dance in a secondary schools, Becci is known for creating supportive, engaging learning environments where students feel confident to take creative risks and develop both technically and artistically.

Becci is particularly passionate about ensuring dance is seen as a viable and valuable GCSE option for all students. Recognising that school option structures can sometimes limit access, she goes beyond her school-based role by offering private GCSE Dance tuition, supporting students who may not otherwise be able to study the subject formally. This work reflects her commitment to widening participation and removing barriers to creative education.

Within the Greater Manchester Dance Collective, Becci leads on student-facing opportunities, with a focus on inclusion, access, and high-quality experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom.
